Our Story
In 2007, Amrit and Kalpana founded Kalpana Craft with a simple but powerful mission: to bring Nepal’s traditional felt craftsmanship to the global stage while creating dignified, fair-wage employment for local women.
From a small family venture, we have grown into a company employing over 300 skilled artisans, the majority of whom are women from local communities. We specialize in private-label manufacturing for international brands, producing high-quality, eco-friendly items such as wool dryer balls, pet toys, Christmas ornaments, Easter décor, table décor, garlands, cat caves, party garlands, and felt flowers — all handcrafted from 100% New Zealand wool.
Eighteen years later, we are one of Nepal’s largest handmade felt manufacturers — officially recognised and awarded by the Nepal Government for our outstanding contribution to the export of felt goods — trusted by international brands across the USA, Canada, UK, EU, Asia and Australia. As pioneers, we were among the first to bring wool dryer balls to households worldwide, making eco-friendly living more accessible.
As the only Nepali felt manufacturer with their own import and carding facility in-house we are able to manufacture the highest quality goods at competitive prices. We create private-label collections for our clients, specializing in:
